Country music icon Hank Williams Jr. posted a loving tribute to his late wife Mary Jane on Twitter a month after her death.
She died at the age of 58 on March 22 in Jupiter, Florida, after reportedly suffering a complication, possibly a blood clot, following a medical procedure.
“I met Ms. Mary Jane Thomas on July 4th, 1984 in Daytona Beach, FL,” Williams wrote. “Who knew that the Beach Beauty would turn out to be a world-class hunter and adventurer? We traveled all over the world on hunts and safaris, but our favorite was hunting right here in Tennessee.”
The post was accompanied by two pictures. One of them shows the young couple in a celebratory mood. The other shows Mary Jane posing with a turkey that she apparently hunted down.
Hank married the former model in 1990.
